Recently we visited our artificial grass factory in Dalton, Georgia.

We feel it’s important to stay connected to the factory for several reasons.

Factory visits help us to stay connected to the folks who make our synthetic turf and ensure it gets on trucks and everything else that is essential to a successful installation.

We get to tell them in person what we like about product updates, and what we think may need adjusting.

We are also made aware of recent advancements in the world of artificial grass.

Technology is constantly changing in the synthetic grass world, yet most synthetic grass companies have no real ability to innovate—-what’s out there is what they get. For most installers, they are still using artificial turf that hasn’t seen any updates in over 20 years.

And as cliche as it sounds, if you aren’t innovating, you will eventually be left behind.

Most people are unaware of this gulf of difference in product.

I can’t tell you how many synthetic turf installations I’ve seen installed by other companies, only a few years in the ground, that look mediocre at best.

When it comes to synthetic turf, there are a few key questions you should ask:

-Where is it made?

-How fast does it drain?

-Is it Stage-1 recyclable? Or will it end up in a landfill one day?

-What is the backing? Urethane or geotextile? Hole-punched urethane is 40+ year old technology. Urethane can hold up to 40% of its weight in water and pet urine. It is also prone to significant expansion and contraction.

Our SealTuft technology is by far the most innovative compared to anything else on the market.

SealTuft drains over 1,000 inches per hour (more than 30x the industry average) and has a stronger tuft bind than standard turf. And while most synthetic turf is tufted, including ours, sealed tufts ensure the turf fibers are locked into the backing, and with a geotextile backing, the opened drain channels shed water at a much higher rate.

You can also be confident in knowing that several years down the road, our artificial grass does not have to end up in a landfill. It can be recycled into future-use plastic materials.

All of this adds up to a vastly superior artificial grass. Insist on SealTuft!
