A Green Mountain Village Turf Transformation

Some yards are beautiful. Some yards are a full-time job. For one family in Lakewood’s Green Mountain Village neighborhood, theirs had quietly become both a sprawling front and backyard that demanded constant mowing, watering, and weekend upkeep just to look the way they wanted it to.

Challenge

Green Mountain Village is one of Lakewood’s most scenic pockets, with sweeping views over the city and the kind of outdoor space that makes a yard feel like an extension of the home. But a yard that size comes with a tradeoff: hours of mowing, edging, watering, and maintenance just to keep it presentable. For this family, the upkeep had started to outweigh the enjoyment.

The Project

We started by removing the existing sod from both the front and back yards, then installed more than 3,500 square feet of our Tan73 turf, finished with clean new edging throughout. The result is a yard that’s lush and green in every season, with none of the mowing, watering, or maintenance stress that came before. Just a beautiful space the family can actually enjoy instead of work for.

A Neighborhood Collaboration

What made this project stand out wasn’t just the square footage. It was the partnership. By coordinating with the family’s neighbor, we were able to combine both backyards into a single, cohesive design. Instead of two separate spaces divided by mismatched landscaping, the result is one seamless outdoor area that flows naturally between properties and opens up to that signature Green Mountain Village skyline view.
