As part of their multi-million dollar expansion, RMH Denver contracted Grass!365 Denver to remove the existing rubber surface on their playground and replace it with a padded synthetic grass surface. This versatile playground surface will provide the visiting children years of safe activity while at RMH for medical treatments.
When considering surface options for playgrounds, synthetic grass may not be the obvious choice. In Denver and many wester towns, playground surfaces can range from budget surfaces such as pea gravel or wood mulch or the more expensive alternatives like rubber mulch or poured in place rubber. The problem with all of these options is the displacement or wear that occurs in the high traffic areas which coincidentally are the same areas where you need the most protection.
Synthetic grass playgrounds like the ones installed by Grass!365 Denver utilize a closed cell foam recycled from the automobile industry that is placed below the artificial grass surface and helps to provide fall height ratings up to 12 feet. These surfaces have been tested using the guidelines of the International Playground Equipment Manufacturers Association for their ability to provide proper safety.
Many sports fields use crumb rubber for cushioning and that is the product you may or may not have seen in the news lately as it relates to other health concerns. Basically the surface that is installed by Grass!365 Denver is a synthetic grass surface with sand. Plastic grass fibers partially filled with sand and over the top of the closed cell foam pads from the automobile industry is the surface we install. It is beautiful, resilient and safe.
In addition to playgrounds, Grass!365 Denver installs 100% recyclable yards, golf greens, pet areas and fields. Synthetic grass is a great low maintenance alternative for commercial and residential applications.
