Long Island is renowned for its golf culture and community. However, with a golf season shorter than in many other parts of the country and a dense population, securing a tee time or a place to practice can be challenging. This project addressed multiple needs for a Long Island homeowner and their family.

Grass!365 installed a backyard putting green in West Hampton using our sand-filled golf green technology. This space doubles as a short game practice area, with tee boxes cleverly positioned under trees and within landscape beds, ranging from 20 to 43 yards away. Being able to practice chip shots and refine putting skills right at home is a dream for any golfer. Considering that over 75% of golf shots occur within 100 yards of the hole, this West Hampton family has the perfect setup to enhance their short game, conveniently located behind their pool.

We strategically placed the green at one end of the lawn, ensuring that there’s still ample space for other games and activities. Additionally, one spouse preferred not to see a golf green beyond the pool, so the location was chosen for its aesthetic appeal, practical golfing use, and overall enjoyment of the property.
