Grass!365 has been specializing in golf surface installations in the Savannah area since the late 1990s, starting with a driving range on Hilton Head. The addition of putting green amenities to multi-family properties began in the early 2000s near Chatham Parkway. Wallace and Kenneth have carried on this tradition, building golf greens and driving ranges throughout the Lowcountry and Savannah.
Backyard Putting Greens are every golfer’s dream, offering the luxury of stepping outside to practice with a putter or wedge anytime. Our expertise lies in crafting surfaces that mimic the look and feel of natural grass, where chip shots hold and putts roll smoothly.
We recently completed a unique project in Bluffton, replicating the par 3 – 10th hole of Royal Dornoch Golf Club in Scotland. We meticulously matched the slope and undulations, and added an eyebrow bunker — a feature without sand that forces golfers to use more lofted chips. This backyard installation serves as a comprehensive short game practice area.
Another project featured a putting green where shots could be practiced from over 100 yards away, reflecting that over 70% of golf shots are within this distance on actual courses. The design included a large chipping fringe for varied shots and raised undulations for challenging putts and chips.
While some projects focus on chipping and putting, we also cater to smaller spaces, especially under the shade of Savannah’s vast oak trees where growing grass is challenging. Artificial grass solutions provide year-round usability and low maintenance, perfect not just for golf but for various activities.
