How this affects drainage is the areas between the rows of yarn are left open and the turf drains at over 1,000 inches per hour. We do not know of any other turf in the industry that can compare to this flow rate.
So water gets below the turf faster than any other option, then what? If the water has no where to go this industry leading drainage rate does not do much good. You need a system that handles the water either by installing drain tiles that allow for horizontal movement of water or you need an aggregate base that allows water to continue to flow vertically down through the aggregate to the compacted soil 4 to 6 inches below.
